Our Vision
A sustainable future – a future of environmental stability, economic security and social equality.
We envisage a future defined by the principles of Sustainable Development – a resilient future for our generation, the next and beyond. Our commitment to a sustainable future guides our sense of purpose, aligns our goals, links our values, motivates and inspires.
We are under no illusion though, that the challenges are global, systemic and inherently complex. The solutions require international levels of engagement, unquestionable truth, open communication and unilateral agreement never achieved before. And time is short if we wish to manage our destiny.
Yet, quite possibly uniquely, it is true that just as the impacts affect everyone, so to can we all influence the outcomes; ordinary can achieve the extraordinary, we can all contribute to our sustainable future. We believe in being inspired not feared. Being empowered not oppressed. Our vision is to be part of the solution, be our future.
As a civilisation we have never been better informed to help make the necessary changes. The application of big data is enabling detailed quantitative analysis and provide a single truth, and the ever increasing social sharing is spreading that truth and enhancing our qualitative understanding of the relationship between Env, Ec and Soc. The opportunities to adapt and evolve are increasing. As a species we are highly resilient and with the capacity of human endeavour to create and recreate means ordinary people become empowered to deliver the extraordinary for our sustainable existence.
